Transworld Sport is a Sports-related television programme produced by Trans World International and shown worldwide on a variety of television channels.
The programme contains round-ups of recent sports action from across the world along with longer in-depth features. It is notable for its insight reports of lesser-known and traditional sports from around the world.
Transworld Sport also focuses on sportsmen and women from all over the world who are tipped to become successful in their sport in the future, as well as great sports people from the past.
It was first broadcast in May 1987 on Channel 4 and the last episode shown on the channel was on Sunday 5 April 2009 (its slot was replaced by other sports programmes). The weekly broadcast celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2007.
The narrators are currently Bruce Hammal and Sue Carpenter.
